China launches nationwide work safety inspections

The first-quarter safety production inspection by China's central assessment team has officially begun. Led by relevant units of the State Council Work Safety Commission, 22 inspection teams have been deployed across all 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps to conduct both open and covert safety inspections.
Running from mid to late March, the inspections focus on assessing the implementation of safety responsibilities, addressing previously identified risks, and advancing key initiatives like the three-year action plan for eliminating root causes of hazards. The teams will conduct both open inspections and covert visits, provide expert guidance, investigate public reports, and enforce corrective measures for major safety risks. The initiative aims to strengthen workplace safety and prevent serious accidents.
