  • China suspends export controls on rare earths and lithium battery materials

    China will temporarily lift export controls on rare earths and lithium battery materials for a year from November 7, 2025 to November 10, 2026, according to a joint statement by the Ministry of Commerce and China Customs.

    Earlier, on October 9, Chinese authorities introduced export controls covering superhard materials, certain rare earth equipment and raw materials, medium and heavy rare earths, lithium batteries, synthetic graphite anode materials, and related overseas rare earth items and technologies.
