Fugu reports 3% drop in Q1-Q3 magnesium output

China's Fugu county reported a total output value of RMB79.73 billion (USD11.19 billion) from industrial enterprises above designated size in the first three quarters of 2025, down by 11.1% year on year, with the added value rising 9.5% YoY, according to the local statistics bureau.
From January to September, Fugu produced about 380,700 tonnes of magnesium metal, down by 3% YoY. Production of other major products included 72.5 million tonnes of raw coal, up slightly by 0.1% YoY, 12.92 million tonnes of washed coal, up by 23.4% YoY, 5.53 million tonnes of semi-coke, down by 14.6% YoY, 207,200 tonnes of calcium carbide, down by 8.8% YoY, and 486,400 tonnes of ferroalloys, down by 2.4% YoY.
