Ganfeng Lithium's Argentine brine project secures environmental approval

Ganfeng Lithium announced that the Secretariat of Mining and Energy of the Province of Salta, Argentina, has recently granted the Environmental Impact Statement, Declaración de Impacto Ambiental ("DIA"), for the Phase I of its majority-owned PPGS lithium brine project, marking an important step forward for the project.
The PPGS project plans to submit an application under Argentina's Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI) in the first half of 2026 to obtain government support and fiscal incentives. According to technical reports, the integrated PPGS lithium brine project hosts an estimated 15.07 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) in measured and indicated resources, making it one of the largest undeveloped lithium brine resources in the world.
Designed for an annual production capacity of 150,000 tonnes of LCE, the project will be developed in three phases and has an expected project life of 30 years.
