Guizhou Batian gains approval for phosphate mine expansion

On November 21, Guizhou Batian Ecological Engineering Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shenzhen Batian Ecotypic Engineering Co., Ltd., received approval for the safety design of its Xiaogaozhai phosphate mine expansion. The project will increase annual mining capacity from 2 million tonnes to 2.9 million tonnes.
The expansion will boost phosphate output, improve the company's upstream-downstream integration, support its phosphorus chemicals strategy, extend the value chain into phosphate concentrate, high-purity phosphoric acid and battery materials, and enhance overall resource efficiency.
