Nonfemet Shaoguan Smelter breaks ground on zinc alloy and flake project

On November 18, the groundbreaking ceremony for Nonfemet Shaoguan Smelter's zinc alloy and zinc flake project was held at Nonfemet (Shaoguan) Functional Materials Industrial Park, marking the start of full-scale construction.
The project, with a total investment of RMB287 million (USD40.33 million), has a designed annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes of zinc alloy and 1,000 tonnes of zinc flake, and will be built in two phases. Phase I will produce 12,000 tonnes of zinc alloy and 400 tonnes of zinc flake annually, while Phase II will add 18,000 tonnes of zinc alloy and 600 tonnes of zinc flake per year.
Once completed, the project will help address the domestic shortage of high-end zinc alloy and zinc flake products, enhance the supply chain's self-sufficiency, and is expected to generate annual sales of approximately RMB831 million (USD117 million).
