Yusheng Germanium halts production due to raw material shortage

Guangxi Yusheng Germanium Industry High-tech Co., Ltd. suspended production facilities from September 7 to conduct maintenance and safety inspections. The suspension came after a safety rectification at its holding subsidiary Guiding Shengyuan Mining Co., Ltd., which began on August 29 and temporarily disrupted the supply of zinc concentrate containing germanium.
During the shutdown, Yusheng Germanium expects to cut production by around 10,000 tonnes of zinc ingot and 10 tonnes of germanium ingot. Deliveries will be postponed accordingly. The company plans to resume operations with a 72-hour trial run after maintenance.
